In this clip I describe the origins of BJJ, and Sambo and how they are both direct descendants of Judo. The founder of Judo (Jigoro Kano) taught Mitsuyo Maeda who started teaching the Gracies in Brazil. He also taught Vasili Oshchepkov who founded Sambo in Russia. Kano is also responsible for the white and black belts we all know and use today.
